Turning Osgood, Indiana’s Website Into a 24/7 Town Hall

A small-town website that struggled to take a bill payment, stream a council meeting, or send a snow-day alert — rebuilt on Drupal into the town’s primary channel to residents.

A town of 1,600 people, running on a website built for a different decade

Osgood, Indiana runs its own water, sewer, gas, and street departments — the kind of civic infrastructure residents need to reach at 6 a.m. during a snowstorm, not just during office hours. The old town site struggled to take a payment, couldn’t post an emergency notice in real time, and gave the Street and Water Departments no way to talk directly to the people who depend on them.

Every department update went out the same way it always had: word of mouth, a sign at Town Hall, or a Facebook post that only reached people already following the page.

The process of rebuilding the Town of Osgood Indiana's website with modern Drupal and communication features built in.
